6.1.32

Installation Before attempting to fit the insulation jacket ensure the pump and all surrounding pipework is cool and wear appropriate safety clothing to avoid the danger of burns. Do not attempt to disconnect any pipework to fit this product - it will simply fit around the pump and associated pipework. Disposal There are no hazardous materials used in the construction of this insulation jacket. However, contact with the inner mineral fibre filling should be avoided as this may cause minor skin irritation. Unwanted material should be disposed of in a safe and environmentally friendly manner. Installation This IJ-MFP jacket should be fitted after the automatic pump has been installed, it is a one piece construction and there is no need to disconnect any pipework. The jacket can be quickly and easily fitted by following the procedure below. 1. Slacken off the two draw cords at the bottom of the insulation jacket. 2. With the Velcro side straps aligned with the discharge side of the pump, carefully lower the jacket over the top of the pump, making sure the two slots in the lower part of the jacket locate over the neck of the inlet and outlet flanges. 3. When the jacket is fully lowered to the base of the pump, tighten the draw cords ensuring a secure fit around the base and flanges. 4. The two draw cords should now be tied in a bow. 5. Finally, the Velcro side and top straps should be tightly overlapped and fastened down ensuring the jacket is firmly fitted around the pump. The removal procedure is the reverse of the above. Please note:- It is unnecessary to remove the whole jacket to maintain the pump, only the top and side Velcro straps need to be unfastened to gain access to the pump cover and inlet/exhaust.
